Word/Cross is a finalist in the 200 Word RPG Challenge.

The 200 Word RPG Challenge is a pretty simple idea for a contest - you have to write an entire Role Playing Game in 200 words or less. Actually getting a game that small which is still exciting and still makes sense is the hard part.
Toppy's game; Word/Cross has been chosen from nearly 800 entries as one of the 50 finalists. The judges are now reading the finalists and choosing the three winners, which will be announced at the start of July.

BATTLE THROUGH THE AGES: Term Three is Historical Wargames Term at LSCWC.

Term Three will be devoted to historical conflict - from the Viking invasions of the 10th and 11th centuries to the 16th century Spanish conquest of the new world.
We will be using the award winning 'A Song of Blades and Heroes' ruleset to help us recreate the great battles of the past as it is at once very flexible and very simple to learn. We will also spend some time on painting and modelling our own warriors to take part in the fierce conflicts to come.

NAZORK uses a specially modified variant on the Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition rules to provide only the finest Orky racing shenanigans! A newly expanded line up of racers includes the classic Warbuggies and Grot Tanks, plus newly added Wartrakks and Skorchas - all of which will be racing through the spectacular environs of Monte Carlork - aka Hampton Games Club's Portheim modular terrain set with the addition of such Orky landmarks as the Hotel Grunthos and Spannanut'z Garage!
Also there'll probably be a zeppelin piloted by an erratic mekboy and other 'natural' hazards to good clean racing.

Little Wars is held at Moorabin Town Hall (a inner eastern suburb of Melbourne, known for it's airport) from 10am on the first Saturday in June. There will be a wide range of other games running on the day, as well as the fabled second-hand table where many strange and wonderful things can be bought cheaply.
