MASTER PAINTER WINNER!

It can now be revealed that the winner of the 2013 Master Painter contest, by the slimmest of margins, is Kobold 1, with a total of six votes (or 19% of the vote).
This means the painter shall be showered with prizes. Or handed a Reaper Bones dragon anyway.

LSC MASTER PAINTER 2013

We're underway with the Master Painter 2013 contest. Painting starts Friday 11th in C0, and continues for a couple of weeks. After that, a poll will be posted to this blog and the whole internet can vote on who is the best painter! There are fabulous and shiny prizes! Well, there's a fabulous and slightly glossy Reaper dragon figure anyway.

This year there's a level playing field since everyone is painting one of two figures - A Reaper Bones Goblin or a Reaper Bones Kobold. These are really cool, low-cost figures made from a kind of flexible plastic which takes paint nicely, resists chipping and can even be painted without an undercoat! The range has just been expanded, and there's a second Kickstarter campaign running now to expand it even further, so next year's contest will involve even more exciting figures and prizes. I bought these ones a while back, and the expanded range has not hit Australian shops yet, so the dragon was the best figure available. Prizes next year can be more spectacular, thanks to the expanded range.
